The CPU, in coordination with the CHF Haiti Team and OGO embarked on an entirely new approach and design for Transitional Shelters. The new shelter is being constructed using Light Gauge Steel (LGS).

HMP PKK Market 6/07/10

The PKK Market is progressing as scheduled. All of the finishing touches are being done, stainless steel counter tops, tiling, painting, etc.

The building will be completed on the 15th of June and there will be a handover ceremony on the 20th.

CPU Builds Sample Temporary Shelter in Ronald Reagan Building

Upon invitation from Chuck Setchell of OFDA, the CPU constructed a half-scale model of CHF's wood frame temporary shelter in the USAID Information Center in the Ronald Reagan Building in DC.  This model will serve as a display for CHF and USAID promotional materials and will be the backdrop for press conferences with Congressional representatives.
